Treat Mom to a special gift or treat yourself and join us to learn all about growing peonies. In addition, create an arrangement to take home using our fresh, Gardnerville-grown peonies. These are florist quality varieties!
Part 1
We'll start in the garden and field learning all about how to grow peonies including planting time and depth, eye size, spacing, when and how to fertilize, proper cutting depth, watering, how deep to cut, proper harvest stage as well has post harvest treatments and even sources with loads of varieties.
Part 2
Then we'll head to the workshop and create lovely arrangements using our fresh peonies. Everything for the arrangement is included. You will also be able to purchase extra flowers (as available) and learn the secrets and techniques to keeping your peonies looking fabulous!

We want you to have the best experience! This is a working farm that is relatively flat, but has uneven, unpaved surfaces like dirt, gravel, woodchips, posts, irrigation lines and other obstacles typical of a farm.
1. Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy closed toe shoes (no heals).
We will walk in the gardens on in the field.
3. Purchase must be made on line in advance.
4. Maximum of 12 students (16 years and up) for the best quality experience
5. We have one bathroom in site up a flight of stairs
No guests, pets or children are allowed.
6. Please dress for the weather, we will NOT cancel for weather.
7. Due to event supply investment, no refunds unless we have to cancel the class due to illness or unexpected emergency.
Things happen. If you 'can't make it, contact us. We will make an arrangement for you to pick up that afternoon and email you the growing information.
